Within a short period nearly 50 others also joined the consortium supporting the unique open source. Android powered smart phones with inbuilt Google mobile services are now available under brand names of the respective market leaders who have commenced production of handsets. The most remarkable achievement of Android is that it gives mobile operators and handset manufactures freedom or flexibility in designing products. Consumers are now provided with a world class product which is an open source operating system for mobile as well as wireless devices.
